Making dinner

This makes me so thankful for my washer and dryer at home.

The delicious chicken stew we made.
The chicken before we cooked it.

That's Chef Phillip's hand next to the chicken pot.

oh my gosh i think that's the exact same apartment we stayed in! does the bed lean a little to the right if you are in it? is the toilet next to the shower room in it's own little closet? when you enter the building are you horrified by the smell and then either have to go down or up a half flight of stairs to get onto the elevator? if you look through our blog there is a picture of the kitchen - see if it's yours!

i'm just went back and looked at our blog and found the picture - that blog entry is January 26, 2009. i'm pretty sure it's the same place and if it is - did the shower head get fixed? i also pantomimed to the cleaning lady how the water sprayed out in all directions when it was on, thus making the entire bathroom wet.

if this place is the same as ours, at the bottom of that street or one of the others that goes down to independence square is a little restaurant called "potato house" and they have good prices and good food - you can get pancakes, ribs and potato's. we ate there at least twice.

Yes it must be the same one. The smell is HORRIFIC. I hold my breath going in and out as long as I can! The bed does lean and I'm not sure if the showerhead is fixed or not. Water sprays out the sides as well as the holes. I can't get the temp. to stay between icy and scalding so I just make it quick!

well, how about that! it sounds like the shower did not get fixed. and i do recall that it was hard to adjust the water temp. things i learned to ask for in an apartment -a washing machine and hot water all night. some buildings don't heat water overnight as a time saving measure - and normally it doesn't matter UNLESS it's the night before you leave the country and you have to get up at 3 - then you forsure want a hot shower before traveling 24 hours to get home! :)

praying for God's peace for you and clear guidance as you haveyour next SDA appt! He knows the plans that He has for you!

I always like to see other people's "living in Ukraine" pictures to see how they cook & live while they're there!

Praying for you guys.

We witness a miracle every time a child enters into life; but those who make their journey home across time and miles, growing within the hearts of those who wait to love them, are carried on the wings of destiny; and placed among us by God's very own hands. --Kristi Larson
