The difference love makes

E was released from the ENT today.  What we initially thought would require tonsil and adenoid removal and tubes in his ears has now resolved to "Tonsils look great and he has normal hearing."  This is a pretty big deal because when we took him to the International Adoption Clinic the doctor actually gasped and said, "Oh WOW you have huge tonsils!"  Which is part of the reason why we ended up at the ENT in the first place.  His ear drums also show signs of lots of untreated infections, but amazingly enough they are working beautifully now.

So, while his speech is still very difficult to understand, particularly when he is saying a phrase vs a one word response, we are now certain its not due to his hearing.  We'll continue with speech therapy, but for now we get to mark one doctor off the list.  I have to say it feels nice to hear them say, "You don't need to come back!"

E at the ENT - feeling a little nervous.

Afterwards, E wanted a "Jedi Haircut."  So umm... whatever that is.  We got it.

He is freaking adorable and losing his "little boy" look so fast.

What a difference from this kid we brought home just 7 months ago!

We witness a miracle every time a child enters into life; but those who make their journey home across time and miles, growing within the hearts of those who wait to love them, are carried on the wings of destiny; and placed among us by God's very own hands. --Kristi Larson
